Horizon House/Delaware offers three residential options for people with for people with mental illness (and sometimes a co-occurring drug and alcohol addiction): the Young Adult Group Home, which serves individuals (ages 18-30) in a family atmosphere; the Resource Management Service Group Home, a transitional living program for individuals needing assistance in developing independent living skills; and the Staffed Apartment Service, which provides adults with assistance in a less restrictive environment in clustered and scattered-site apartments. In all of them, staff works in partnership with the residents to promote their acquisition of independent living skills. Horizon House’s housing services are located throughout New Castle County.
