The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Assessment Service assesses individuals with mental illness, explores the individual’s strengths and personal goals, and provides linkages to psychiatric rehabilitation service providers. All referrals to this program must come through the individual’s base service unit case manager.

Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service

Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service is an intensive rehabilitation program designed to assist people in improving their functioning in their living, learning, working, and social environments. Services are delivered in the person’s environment of choice, i.e. in the home, please of employment or other place in the community. This service offers skill and support development, which may include symptom management, medication management, health education, problem-solving techniques, assertiveness training, time management, communication, interpersonal, socialization, and self-care skills, use of public transportation, budgeting, nutrition, food planning and preparation, assistance with housing needs, community awareness, and resource management. All referrals to this service must come through the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Assessment Service, 610-497-7379.

Clubhouse

Providence House is a Clubhouse program (certified by the International Center for Clubhouse Development) that enables adults with psychiatric disabilities to take an active role in their rehabilitation. The Clubhouse model provides members and staff an opportunity to work “side by side” to accomplish the goals and work of the Clubhouse. The philosophy encourages members to form meaningful relationships and manage their lives in the community. Members and staff manage the daily activities of the Clubhouse, such as program statistics, demographics, answering the phones, faxing information, and operating the Side Snack Café. The Transitional Employment unit assists members in pursuing and obtaining employment opportunities in the community. Providence House is located at 2300 Providence, Avenue, Chester, PA. 19013. The Clubhouse is open Monday-Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
